Can anyone recommend a web designer?
ava asked:
We are marketing steel buildings. I need a secure site for credit applications (customers needing financing), price lists, color charts, dimensions, descriptive literature, etc. I live in New Mexico – if that matters since it all can be done on line.
TIA

I am probably going to catch h*ll for saying this, but… I think you should give strong consideration to using a local web designer. I think it is extremely valuable to be able to have face to face contact with a web designer, particularly during the first meeting.
Yes, you can hire someone off the Internet, and you can even use a pre-made web template, but if you want a customized site, then I think you want to work with someone who is willing to sit down with you and carefully review exactly what it is you would like to see on your web site, discuss its functionality, etc. These are not issues that you want to cover via an e-mail exchange.
Try advertising your need for a local web designer on your local Craigslist.
In the meantime, I’ll brace myself for all the independent web designers who will rail on me for trying to take money away from them.
Good luck.
