Yes… Smart move, too, dude. Give them the money and they will give you a credit card in that amount with no worries (unless you lost points due to credit card fraud!) And it will help you get credit! Wait until you get an offer for no annual fees, no inital membership fee, or monthly finance fee. That will take around 6 months to a year if you keep working (or going to school) and don’t screw up you credit anymore. Once you get a credit card keep no more than two and neveer use one of them, okay? Remember, only borrow when you have the cash to pay it off fast! It sounds silly but it works. Si?

Great question!
Here’s a better idea. Instead of focusing your efforts on how to get a credit card, why not ask the question that wealthy people ask themselves, How can I build my net worth?
Have you ever noticed that so many people in this country have plenty of credit cards and car payments, but don’t have any actual money? That’s because they are sending every dime they make to creditors. People with high net worths avoid credit cards and expensive car payments.
Building wealth is not that hard and it gives you peace of mind when emergencies pop up.
