I applied for a secured credit card.what does under review really mean?

When I applied for a secured credit and put $500 hundred down for the security process. I looked up my application on the web and it said under review and that I would receive a letter in 10 days.

   It means that they are checking your credit history, past bill paying, your job standing, your income standing, etc. .

   They will let you know if the process is good enough for you to get a card with them.

   To pay them $500.00 for this process, I don’t think this right. If the money is going to be applied to your secured card then this is okay.

   It means your spending credit limit is $500.00.
