We asked our local bank for a secured credit card so that she can build her credit. The bank refused the application and demanded that they need a US citizen to cosign for my wife’s credit card, even if we are asking for a card that is secured by our checking account with the same bank. This is absurd because we have joint accounts with this bank from last 5-6 years and have healthy deposits. They wouldnt even let me add her to my existing credit card! We dont know aany US citizen who will cosign for us but thats besides the point anyway. Can the bank discriminate like this?

I recently used my debit card to do a couple of online purchases, and suddenly there were 3 transactions worth over $1500 I didn’t make and I’m quite shaken up over it. My bank brought it to my attention and thankfully I was able to cancel my debit card and get re-issued a new one.

I have always been protective of my account and personal information and my online shopping has been quite sporadic. I’m at a loss at how this could have happened.

The question is now, is it possible that this is the end of my problem, or could these thieves have gained further information from me beyond my debit card number?

Also if I choose to put in Specified Amount, will i be able to change that specified amount later on?
EX: i put my specified amount to $50 and the bill comes in to $75. Will i be able to change the specified amount?

However, the lender has to secure themselves by me making a down payment of 3 months payment on my loan. It sounds a little bogus to me, but I do know that when you take out a loan, unless you have excellent credit the lender requires some type of collateral. And usually if you don’t have any collateral, they won’t lend you anything. I’ve tried to research this company but can’t find anything. Has anyone used this company before? Also, if not, can anyone suggest someplace else that gives bad credit loans?

The charge you even when you arent making and charges, they even charge if you are approved for a credit limit increase. Each time I apply for a line of credit with a nonsecured credit company I get rejected, but I get applications in the mail everyday. People have been telling me to finance a car to get my credit on track faster, but I am not ready for that responsibilty and besides I already have a car thats paid for. Every time I want to change which account to use, I have to re-enter the routing number and account number.
