I am currently 15, and have wanted to be an owner/operater truck driver all my life. I would like to know what the best credit card and online money management system would be the best. I’ve been looking at the American Express TrueEarnings Business Card and was wondering if that would be a good card to use for trucking. Also, could someone tell me how much an I-Pass costs?

Thanks.

Legal ramifications for auto-charging credit card for online subscription?

Darryl W asked:

Hello,

A client of mine has launched an online subscription service. Customers are paying online with their credit card but their advert/listing is only for one year.

When the customer’s listing expires in one year can we just run the credit card through again to auto renew the subscription?

At this time our Terms Agreements do not mention auto-renewal. Even if they did does anyone know what the legal ramifications might be if we did this?

My client is thinking that, from a business point of view, it may be better to ‘ask for forgiveness than permission’, and collect the money up front. If you give customers too much time to think about it they may decide to not renew.

Thanks

I’m starting an adult website. I want them to pay me all at once, or like monthly. but I need a way to accept their credit card payments online. I dont have a back account and cant get one. And since its an adult website paypal wont work. So they will need to work with adult sites.
I would like something where when the client pays with there credit card I can get it on some type of card that a company supplies. Also be able to accept credit card payments offline like phone. Not a teminal. Some thing free. If possible.

Is a credit card number really valid for a deposit on a service?

JNate asked:

I own a small business which often takes credit card numbers over the phone as a deposit. We recently had a customer no show, and she contested through her credit card company when we charged her (she claims it wasn’t explained when she gave us her #). The credit card company took her side and said it is policy to allow anyone contesting to get their money back if there is no signature. How can this be? So many hotels and services take card #’s as deposits!

I operate a small business. We are getting into a new market of residential customers and I would like to be able to run credit reports on potential customers. How do I do it?
We sell a consumer product that generally gets financing, however, with the residential customers, we are going to finance them in-house.

Will my credit card be under a cost of goods account, expense account, loan or what? The equipment had already been paid in full by the credit card, now we are paying the credit card off. Should I name the credit card as a vendor?
